Thank you so much for the visit!!!

Sat Mar 22, 2008, 7:36 PM
I am going to try something different in regard to responding to faving and comments since I become completely bogged down in the mechanics… I have comments at the bottom of my file that are 2 months old because I can never get through the hundreds that are more recent. There are some artists that I watch who have moved into a “No Need to Reply” modality… and through some modified version I have decided to join them. I prefer to visit the galleries of those who are responding to my art. There are so many great artists who frequent my gallery and I feel I am doing them a total injustice by not allowing myself to take a leisurely walk through their work. I am also feeling a real need to move into enhancing my skills through the use of tutorials and mentors that are being offered here on dA. Unless something changes, I do not have the time to devote to my art, or yours!
So I am opening my mind to a new way of responding to you… I will visit your gallery, but I may not leave rote comments and responses. Art isn’t art unless it is communicated and I really want to be more interactive with you… not on a mechanical level but at a creative level where we are both a part of each other’s art!!!

I just finished putting people photos from my favorites into my journal and they look great! It was easiest going to the deviation, looking in the technical information on the right down near the bottom to the white box where it says "thumb," copying it, and pasting it in. I'm so excited!

:) Thanks... I just figured out a slightly different way that seems to have worked. I went into a gallery, clicked on a photo and copied the 8 digit number at the top. Now I want to be able to add background color, etc.....

Well, if you ever figure out CSS, whatever that is (I'm showing my ignorance here), then please let me know. I'm muddling along but slowly!

:) I think my wife has a clue... it's computer code on how to perform various functions in setting up your page [color, placement , script style, etc.]. :w00t:

Here's great advice from jerry486 and it works! I just tested one: you put :_thumb#: without the _ and # which is the number

if you open a link to someone's deviation you will notice a small line in white THUMB:

you just copy the text, and paste it in the journal :)

GL!
