The Jaguar's enclosure is diagonally across from the African Lions... which have the place on edge since the female is coming into season and the male is very intense.
We have a local zoo were there are only endemic species, and the animals are really close, up front to you, without so much as a mesh in between, last time the female was on season but she was separated from the male, the male's roaring was impressive, he was very tense, and up close you could see just how huge he truly was.
I really like this picture, you always capture the animal's eyes really well.
Always go for the eyes first... if you don't get them right start over!!! I did a lot of drawing as a kid [each school in our city sent three students to the city art center and I was chosen to go for several years] and continued on into the university where I pursued art and went on to a career in art. You have a lot of talent and I think you can go far in any art field. Your artistic touch is beyond your years... you already have a feel for the eyes which are indeed the window to the soul!!!
You seem to have a very high sensitivity art-wise- to be honest I couldn't reply to your commentary for the longest time, because I didn't quite know what to say, your words are very encouraging, specially now that I'm thinking of pursuing a master's degree in art (though in an unconventional way, sequential art and animation) it is difficult to try and pursue that when you have done something so different for the longest time, but it is what I love, so I'll keep on trying. I'll keep this commentary so I can always remember your thoughts. thank-you

Best of luck in all your endeavors!!!
