Tufas at Mono Lake by papatheo Tufas at Mono Lake by papatheo
I am very happy that I shot this in RAW: I realized at the end of the day that I had inadvertently reset my camera to overexpose everything by a whole F-stop.
Mono Lake near Yosemite National Park. Tufas are the remnants of old underwater springs when the lake level was much higher.

Great shot Richard. It has depth with the rock in the left foreground separated by the azure water from the large formation in the right background. Nice use of the rule of thirds. The water and matching sky provide an excellent contrast to the gray of the stone. :worship:
