Photographed at Saguaro National Park West near Tucson, Arizona. Shortly after this photo was taken my wife let out a loud yelp and started running... I could hear the rattle of the large Western Rattlesnake even though I was 50 feet away. I guess it's just as well it wasn't me... I probably would have tried to take its picture!!!
Lovely...I'm kinda snow-birding it via some elder-caring here in MI; but I miss these. Lovely shot. Look at all those wild-flowers! The snake would be cool to capture in photo too.
Wonderful image Richard! Rattlesnake? To be honest that's what I would try to do too, take a shot at it, glad Leda is a sensible woman and glad you're both ok!
Thanks... we REALLY fell in love with the area. One of my sisters already lives out there; another already is having a house built directly across the golf course; one of my brothers is planning on moving there very soon... looks like about half of my family will be living in the Tucson area in the near future!!!
