Land of Long Views by papatheo Land of Long Views by papatheo
Colorado National Monument... just one of the many breathtaking views in the park. Located just outside Grand Junction, Colorado.

[Tonemapped from seven exposures of one RAW photograph]

This is truly awesome! The landscape totally reminds me of here in Arizona, especially the northern part, and southern Utah. I really love how you captured the scene from high above, since the valley and the distant mountains can be seen from where you and Leda were!

Gazing at your shot definitely makes me feel like I am there in person! I love the combination of the clouds and the beautiful landscape!

I am just at awe with this most serene, breathtaking western landscape! :+fav:! :)

:D Thank you Laurice... I am glad you like it. This is only a few miles from Utah which is where we went next... we only got into Arizona on the north side of the Grand Canyon but I have a sister in Tucson who keeps inviting us out there... so you never know.

What a small world that your sister lives in Tucson! Hey, that is where my alma mater, the University of Arizona (UA), is! I lived in Tucson for four years while I was an undergraduate student at the UA until I graduated. Tucson is a really neat city, and you and Leda will have to come down and visit your sister! Who knows, maybe I'll rendezvous with you guys down there! :)

Tucson is definitely a PERFECT place for photography, so please do bring a very large memory card if you should decide to come out to Arizona! :)

Two 8's and a 4 for each one of you? What's that? Large memory cards, huh?

So, approximately how many photos do you and Leda shoot every time you guys go on a day trip? Hundreds or thousands? :giggle:

:D Yes those are large memory cards and depending on what we are shooting we can go over a thousand in a day... especially when we are shooting birds or animals we use the "burst mode"! ;)
