African Lions nearing nap time on a sunny day at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin.
Wow! This is an excellent series with the lions. You've got just the right light and the texture of the fur is absolutely amazing. I feel as though I could reach out and touch it and it has an almost 3 dimensional quality. I'm impressed, as always.

I use a Panasonic DMC-FZ18... it is a point-and shoot, but a very good one. Some of the features: macro as close as 1 cm., 18x zoom [500mm lens], manual or auto modes, filters, super image stabilization, shutter or aperture priority, Leica lens and lots of others. My wife and I are just learning these cameras and everyday we discover something new! Things have changed so much since the days of 35mm film photography when you had to depend on a GOOD [expensive] color lab that would work with you... now I print out better images at home that I ever could have imagined in the 70's when I had a little photo business and was one of the first color photographers in the Chicago area to break into juried art fairs.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
